NPC Goals

MISSION STATEMENT

The NPC's mission is to coordinate the efforts of various neighborhood organizations into a unified group, all working to solve problems and provide leadership.  We exercise vigilance of government and other organizations to ensure that community needs are being addressed and satisfied, and thus improve the quality of life of residents, businesses and schools.

This organization provides oversight of Baltimore County officials who are charged with specific responsibilities.  Specifically, pollution, environmental matters, road problems etc. Feel free to contact us if you have a problem that involves the North Point Peninsula.

Community Survey

In 2004, a Community Survey was developed and distributed to all neighborhood residences by the North Point Peninsula Community Coordinating Council. Over 200 community members responded by the deadline date of January 31,2004. The survey asked community members to respond directly to three specific questions:

  1. What would you preserve in your community?
  2. What would you create in your community?
  3. What would you change in your community?

Respondents could make additional comments, list a contact individual and indicate willingness to serve on a Neighborhood Committee.  Survey response sheets indicated thoughtfulness and concern in the thoroughness of the written statements. The data was recorded and the information categories were presented to the Community at the April 2004, NPC meeting, with over 100 community members in attendance.

Community Forum Goals

  • To review the survey results and summary and make additions where necessary.
  • To prioritize issues for report.
